Training pangamut, the empty hands of Filipino Kali, is similar to training with weapons. We cultivate coordination and develop a sense of context with a flow or sequence of techniques practiced together.
This video demonstrates a few techniques sequenced in a way that will later lead to developing reflexive action. For coordination purposes, this drill is initially practiced with a very light intensity. This light format allows students to refine technical details before training with more intensity for speed and power.
